I used to ask myself this all the time. Almost every time I would see one of those TV commercials telling me how bad smoking was. I would say, "Why To Quit Smoking?"...
Then my Mother of all people bought me a book one year for Christmas called "How To Quit Smoking The Easy Way" and it really shocked me because this author actually tells you to smoke while you read the book. Huh?
Anyway I read the book and somewhere in the content it hit me that the real harm from cigarettes isn't the tobacco itself or the nicotine (although it by itself is still harmful), it was all the chemicals that manufacturing companies add to the cigarette to help preserve the flavor and freshness of the tobacco.
It really hit home and answered a lot of questions about asthma, coughing up my lungs at night, not being able to taste food as well I used to etc.. The chemicals mixed with the tobacco was killing me faster than anything.
Needless to say I began looking for other alternatives and that's when I came across the electronic cigarette! From wondering why to quit smoking to finding the answer in a smokeless alternative, I quickly switched from inhaling over 4,000 chemicals to just inhaling nicotine..
